Mind reading as in Star Trek - The Future?
New York. The latest scientific findings from the U.S. is that taken from Star Trek - namely, scientists have come a step closer to mind reading. During an experiment in Washington managed one person affect another person's computer gaming - using the power of thought, Ad:
writes the Washington Post.
In the experiment at the University of Washington was the subject Rajesh Rao put on a "cap" with electrodes that measured the electrical activity in his brain. On the other side of the campus sat his colleague Andrea Stocco with a powerful magnetic coil pressed against the left side of the head at the area that controls the right hand movements. Rao looked at a video game, and imagined that he was shooting at various objects - but kept his hands still. Each time Rao "shot" in the tanks moved Scocco forefinger - and performed the command of the game, without Scocco himself got to see the game. stimulated brain Rao's brain signals are transferred via the Internet to a computer that had the magnetic coil to stimulate Scocco brain. At the end of the exercise had Rao succeeded Scocco to shoot at targets in all experiments, writes the Washington Post. - I felt a little as if I were Alexander Graham Bell and kept on working until the first phone, says Rajesh Rao to the Washington Post. Once the research is at an early stage, but a lot has happened in neuroscience over the past two decades, according to the researchers, the latest findings to a future where people can communicate directly from mind to mind. - I've always been a Star Trek fan, but we're not quite reached the Vulcan mind meld The yet, says Rao to the Washington Post.
