At least a portion of the sound is from a sound board.

In the past month or so, I've noticed something that proves that a majority of the "noise" that i'm hearing originates from a sound board, with whatever is typed in being produced based on whatever word is typed in.

Why would I think that? Because about a month ago I was going around only thinking a French word when I was in public, and then watching people mouth it, and looked perplexed like they were trying to figure out what it meant. I didn't realize what it was for about a week, so I couldn't think of what it meant.

Since that time, I've heard what would be LITERAL pronunciations for French words, to test my knowledge of a language that I've forgotten, I guess. But more to be a pain, and have more garbage to filter through. Since there wasn't a known pronunciation in their program to translate their foreign language word into English, I was hearing a literal reading.

There's no doubt that typing is being translated in audio. Type it out, send it to a cell tower to route to a target, and we get to enjoy pure idiocy. Not that I doubted that was the case, but it proves that after 10 years there's still direct government involvement.
