Each day, far too many people arrive in emergency rooms nationwide as a result of firearms accidents and violent crimes. As doctors and mental health professionals, you know the cost of gun violence. Your experience offers an important perspective to our efforts to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, domestic abusers and the dangerously mentally ill. When we speak with elected officials, they are always amazed by the diversity of our organization and the power of our members’ stories.
