The Musk Ox has a very successful way to provide protection for the vulnerable in their group. They form a circle and face outward. exposing their horns to any enemy that may try to steal the vulnerable away from the group.
As members of peacepink, we too, are part of a group. Those of you who have been on a while, know that for the most part, things are good here on peacepink, but you may also notice some severely negative attitudes and actions that have recently taken place.
What shall we do?
Some say 'ignore him!'
But, what would happen to the vulnerable among the group of Musk Ox if the elders just told the vulnerable, 'Just ignore that wolf as he eats your legs off"
Not too successful, in fact the loss of newcomers would eventually lead to loss of the group. We need to approach our group with the same dynamic, equation involving teamwork and action upon recognition of a problem.
I propose that when we see a Member being bashed by one of these Trolls that are allowed to be here, the rest of us should come to the victims aid., by telling the bash troll, that they need to stop. Not just a polite sentence, but tell them REALLY HOW YOU FEEL. this lets the Troll know that His behavior is unwanted by the whole group. It also gives the victim the feeling of belonging because the group has stood up for them.In this way we can both draw closer as a group, and remove negative influences
