+SSB was also used over long distance telephone lines, as part of a technique known as frequency-division multiplexing (FDM). FDM was pioneered by telephone companies in the 1930s. This enabled many voice channels to be sent down a single physical circuit, for example in L-carrier. SSB allowed channels to be spaced (usually) just 4,000 Hz apart, while offering a speech bandwidth of nominally 300–3,400 Hz.

  • This is what they are using on there high out put transmitters or is a possibility so there for check and balances need to be presented, Because they have a stare buck on every corner, referencing to transmitters and receivers. These where communication channels in the 1930s; so what dose that have to say. They where able to transmitters morose code over the Atlantic with very little output of radio signals (carry wave) references. So what does that say about us today have we devolved based on are handler primitive ideologies? where is the decency of mankind today... clear stating we are going primitive with there technology and there ability to handle people. Bases on my opinion on early articles...
