My girlfriend(also a TI) called me this morningabout the good morning America show today on tracking people using cell phones. She said not just authorities have this software but every day people aswell.
Of course the Sheri peak case where her husband who hard wired acell phone into her car so that it would be continually charged and would dialhim whenever she started the car so he could track her and listen in on anythingsaid in the car is a well documented case of stalking with a legal conviction.Rob peak was the manager for an auto repair chain on the west coast and musthave gotten the knowledge of how to do this type of surveillance/ stalking. Hehad all the software and knowledge of how to do this. When police confronted himat his home he knew they were coming and said so. Why not he probably listenedto detectives tearing the interior of the car apart and talking about the case.He had been doing all the things stalkers do. They found that he had all of heraccount numbers, passwords and had entered her home while knowing she was away.He had keys to their home even though they were separated and had stolen theextra set of keys she
had bought for new door locks even before she had achance to have them installed.
Sheri had also gone to the home of acoworker to look at taking or purchasing puppies from him. Her husband Robshowed up at this man's home later asking if he could use his phone because hehad broken down. He then started asking question about how hot the women arethat he works with when this man became very suspicious. It was then that hespoke to Sheri at work about this because of her claims of all the crazy thingsgoing on. She pulled out a photo she had and exposed the stranger who had brokendown as her husband . Rob was convicted and got 6 months in jail.
Thiswas the primary case that got Vise president Joe Biden to make Januaryanti-stalking month.
Of course I called the police station shown on the Date Line investigativespecial that exposed this and soon found out that a cover up was in place. Thedetective who handled this case had left that police department I was told andthey didn't know to where. When I asked to speak to someone in authority whocould comment on this case the higher ups claimed to have no knowledge of thiscase even though their police department was on TV in this Date Lineinvestigation. Isn't this what all TIs run into when looking for help fromauthorities?
I'm glad we are finally getting some exposure on TV by showslike this, Jesse Ventura's, "Conspiracy Theories", which by the way gave TRue TVtheir highest rating till then and, "The History channels", " That'sIncredible", series.
Just think how small a cell phone would be if youtook out the speaker, the screen, and all those buttons? They probably have thisdown to the size of a quarter and know where we are and what we say while in ourcars at all times. This would certainly assist our perps in knowing everythingwe say, what we are doing, where we are going and when they can enterour homes atwill.
