our community have not already done so, I'd recommend adding a sign-up quiz to your site. You can do so from the Member Controls page here: https://peacepink.ning.com/main/membership/controls.
Adding a sign-up quiz in addition to CAPTCHA is a great way to stop and prevent many spam accounts from being created. You can also temporarily turn on member moderation to see if this helps to prevent this accounts from joining. To turn this on, head to the following page: https://peacepink.ning.com/main/membership/controls and check the box "Approve new members before they can join."
The great thing about the above features is that you can toggle them on/off, whenever you'd like, so you can see if it works well for you, and if it makes no difference, you're able to turn it off.
