This follow-up article in the Guardian says that the APA has now banned US psychologists from being involved in Bush-era type torture, as well as "present-day non-coercive techniques". It has taken them 10 years to achieve this, with all the cover-up and bullying.
Dr Steven Reisner said they hope to ban them from abetting "domestic cruelty" in the USA as well.
Let us hope that this will help us in some way, or at least may help U.S. TI`s.
By the way, psychologists are not doctors and have no medical training - I`m surprised at the Guardian mixing this up. Psychologists have a PhD in psychology, which gives them the academic title of Dr.
