Robinson discusses his memoir "Defending the Spirit: A Black Life in America", which explores the dilemma of racial relations in the U.S. Then, a conversation with author Willie Morris, whose coverage of the third and last trial of Byron De La Beckwith led to the 1997 film version "Ghosts of Mississippi". He discusses his book "The Ghosts of Medgar Evers", about the murdered civil rights activist and his experiences as a consultant on the film.
