Nixon gives a Farewell Address to his White House Staff on Friday, August 9, 1974. He had just delivered his Resignation Speech from the Oval Office the night before. This was a very emotional speech that included words of wisdom and reflection, by the 37th President. The House of Representatives was schedule to vote on the Articles of Impeachment on Friday, August 9th, but Nixon's Resignation preempted the need for that vote (which would have passed). Therefore, technically Richard Nixon was never actually Impeached.«
