If you search the book for "voices" and read the results you will find the following:
"Sir", said a lunatic to me, pointing to his stomach, "strange things happen there; I continually hear a voice which threatens and insults me."
Sound familiar? My perps would play similar ventriloquism tricks with similar degradation. What are the odds? Have perps gone way out of their way to imitate these old stories? There seem to multiple copies of this book from reputable sources.
Even the crazy people are going to think I'm crazy for thinking there might be such a thing as a 'demon' which is a criminal member of a species. This would just be too far back to be explainable by electronics I think.
