I dont disbelieve that you come from a well educated background. Its easy to blame people or organisation because we perceive them powerful, to have secret technology and have enough funds to make technology available that are unheard of.

What if I told you that NSA is not behind the harassment that you have received, would you believe me? Probably not. Their mission is to code break, develop encryption and eaves drop to prevent terrorist threat harming citizen. Why would they harass and destroy your life? The project director within the organisation would never approve such thing to be used on innocent people. They have morals, and they have structure of management. If one management decides to form his own little group then it wouldn't gone far. We live in a different world today, and if that organisation did something like that, you would have a whistle blower immediately that would leak what they where doing instantly to the press. I highly doubt NSA is behing the harassment.

If what you say is true that its goal is to capture everyones thoughts, then we woudn't have any terrorist attacks happening, and no kidnappings, abductions, honour killings, etc... and we would have found Osama Bin Laden, and every other criminals + terrorist in the world that left fingerprints, and dna samples in the crime scene in the database. We would have solved murders instantly. The truth is, that not everyone has a brain transmitter yet and they are free to roam. Not everyone is a bad person.
