My father's pet project. He had a say in it's design and was VERY involved in every step of its construction. It is a Freemason symbol. Notice the two pillars with orbs at the peak and the shape of the pyramid stills that holds the interconnecting bridge up. Also in the symbol of Boaz & Jachin.
