ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Red Storm will be faster, yet smaller and less expensive, than previous supercomputers, say researchers at the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Sandia National Laboratories, where the machine will be assembled.
The first quarter of the $90 million, 41.5 teraflops (trillion operations/second) machine should be installed at Sandia by the end of September and fully up and running by January, says Bill Camp (Sandia’s Director of Computation, Computers, Information and Mathematics), who heads the effort to design and assemble the innovative machine.
Red Storm, an air-cooled supercomputer, is being developed by Sandia and Cray Inc. using mostly off-the-shelf parts.
Design innovations permit the machine, from concept to assembly, to be completed with unusual rapidity. While manufacturers typically require four to seven years from concept to first product on a new supercomputer, Cray says Red Storm will begin testing at Sandia less than 30 months after conceptual work began.
The main purpose of the machine is work for the U.S. nuclear stockpile: designing new components; virtually testing components under hostile, abnormal, and normal conditions; and helping in weapons engineering and weapons physics. The machine is expected to run ten times as fast as Sandia’s ASCI Red computer system on Sandia’s important application codes. (ASCI Red held first place on the top-500 list of the world’s supercomputers for three-and-one-half consecutive years.)
But the machine, because of its uniquely inexpensive design, may become the center of Cray’s future supercomputer line, says Camp. “From Cray’s point of view, the approach we’re pioneering here is so powerful they may want their next supercomputers to follow suit.”
The machine has unique characteristics: it is scalable from a single cabinet (96 processors) to approximately 300 cabinets (30,000 processors). In addition, the system was designed with a unique capability to monitor and manage itself. Much of the cost incurred for the machine is non-recurring engineering design costs.
“We couldn’t afford a ‘Rolls Royce’ — an entirely custom-designed machine,” says Camp. “The way Red Storm is designed, we don’t have to shut down to replace a part. We work around failed components until we decide to fix them — all without shutting down.”
Cray was chosen because the company was “forward-looking, flexible, willing to work with us to design a new architecture, and had the lowest cost proposal.”
The machine itself — a few facts
The machine has 96 processors in each computer cabinet, with four processors to a board. Each processor can have up to eight gigabytes of memory sitting next to it. Four Cray SeaStars — powerful networking chips — sit on a daughter board atop each processor board. All SeaStars talk to each other “like a Rubik cube with lots of squares on each face,” says Camp. “Cray SeaStars are about a factor of five faster than any current competing capability.”
Messages encoded in MPI (the Message Passage Interface standard) move from processor to processor at a sustained speed of 4.5 gigabytes per second bidirectionally. The amount of time to get the first information bit from one processor to another is less than 5 microseconds across the system. The machine is arranged in four rows of cabinets. There are a total of 11,648 Opteron processors and a similar number of SeaStars.
The SeaStar chip includes an 800 MHz DDR Hypertransport interface to its Opteron processor, a PowerPC core for handling message-passing chores, and a seven-port router (six external ports). SeaStars are linked together to make up the system¹s 3-D (X-Y-Z axis) mesh interconnect.
IBM is fabricating the SeaStar chips using 0.13-micron CMOS technology. Visualization will occur inside the computer itself — a capability unique to Red Storm among supercomputers.

John Norseen is the object of my interest. His project, his brainchild IS the key. BIO-FUSE Neuroengineering at it's pinnacle of devolpment violating the personal rights and privacy of countless individuals in my opinion, needs further investigation by a more qualified individual other than myself. Reading your mind-and injecting smart thoughts

Buck Rogers, meet John Norseen. Like the comic-strip hero, a 20th-century man stuck in the 25th century, Norseen feels he's not quite in the right time: His brain-research ideas are simply too futuristic. And he admits his current obsession seems to have been lifted from a Rogers saga. The Lockheed Martin neuroengineer hopes to turn the "electrohypnomentalophone," a mind-reading machine invented by one of Buck's buddies, from science fiction into science fact.
Norseen's interest in the brain stems from a Soviet book he read in the mid-1980s, claiming that research on the mind would revolutionize the military and society at large. The former Navy pilot coined the term "BioFusion" to cover his plans to map and manipulate gray matter, leading (he hopes) to advances in medicine, national security, and entertainment. He does not do the research but sees himself as the integrator of discoveries that will make BioFusion a reality.
BioFusion would be able to convert thoughts into computer commands, predicts Norseen, by deciphering the brain's electrical activity. Electromagnetic pulses would trigger the release of the brain's own neurotransmitters to fight off disease, enhance learning, or alter the mind's visual images, creating what Norseen has dubbed "synthetic reality."
The key is finding "brain prints." "Think of your hand touching a mirror," explains Norseen. "It leaves a fingerprint." BioFusion would reveal the fingerprints of the brain by using mathematical models. "Just like you can find one person in a million through fingerprints," he says, "you can find one thought in a million."
It sounds crazy, but Uncle Sam is listening. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the Army's National Ground Intelligence Center have all awarded small basic research contracts to Norseen, who works for Lockheed Martin's Intelligent Systems Division. Norseen is waiting to hear if the second stage of these contracts–portions of them classified–comes through.
Norseen's theories are grounded in current science. Mapping human brain functions is now routine. By viewing a brain scan recorded by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, scientists can tell what the person was doing at the time of the recording–say, reading or writing. Emotions from love to hate can be recognized from the brain's electrical activity.
Thought police. So could the murderous thoughts of a terrorist, asserts Norseen, who wrote his thesis at the Naval War College on applying neuroscience research to antiterrorism. He has submitted a research-and-development plan to the Pentagon, at its request, to identify a terrorist's mental profile. A miniaturized brain-mapping device inside an airport metal detector would screen passengers' brain patterns against a dictionary of brain prints. Norseen predicts profiling by brain print will be in place by 2005.
A pilot could fly a plane by merely thinking, says Norseen. Scientists have already linked mind and machine by implanting electrodes into a paralyzed man's brain; he can control a computer's cursor with his mind. Norseen would like to draw upon Russian brain-mimicking software and American brain-mapping breakthroughs to allow that communication to take place in a less invasive way. A modified helmet could record a pilot's brain waves. "When you say right 090 degrees," says Norseen, the computer would see that electrical pattern in the brain and turn the plane 090 degrees. If the pilot misheard instructions to turn 090 degrees and was thinking "080 degrees," the helmet would detect the error, then inject the right number via electromagnetic waves.
If this research pans out, says Norseen, "you can begin to manipulate what someone is thinking even before they know it." But Norseen says he is "agnostic" on the moral ramifications, that he's not a mad scientist–just a dedicated one. "The ethics don't concern me," he says, "but they should concern someone else."

I would like to see this tech spoken about more in

This makes it easy to prove your case not only to those in your life but to a court of law as well.
Even when my home is quiet I record with a small digital recorder then download the .mp3 audio file onto my computer. I then open the file with Adobe soundbooth however there is a free program online called audacity that i have been told works and is used by ghost hunters who are trying to collect EVPs. The important thing is that you can view your audio file as a wav or mp3 in a program that will show you what it looks like in a color spectrum.
The various colors will show you where the conversations are occurring by the individuals responsible.
This is how i analyze my recordings and is what i call the PBBS [public brain broadcasting system]
-- i increase the vocal clarity
-- increase the vocal enhancer
-- remove the noise---this might have to be done several time but each time in between i increase the volume until i can easily hear the voices in the background
--there are usually at least 5 levels of conversations occurring at the same time as the energy wavs run together like a party line
there are often audio loops that are included in the first feew layers making it hard to understand the exact words being said so that is why the color spectrum view is so helpful
the beauty of it is that they do not expect you to be able to hear them so they speak freely and use their own names
not only will you know who they are but you will be able to prove it to someone else without having your own sanity questioned
then i would suggest that you check online and see when MIT is having their seminars/symposiums in your area especially if you have been victim to the scalar holograms as only a handful of individuals have the equipment to conduct this type of experiment.
The ones responsible for my harassment are Patti Maes and her husband Karl Sims with MIT.

A year ago I began recording conversations that could be heard on several levels of the scalar waves being beamed into my home. I was able to record over 2000 messages and have begun transcribing them as they can be analyzed and heard if they are viewed in an audio program that has a color spectrum window. There are multiple layers of conversations and in the transcripts I am enclosing please note that a solid line denotes a conversation on a different audio level. This is also the reason that there are some statements that seem out of order as it is much like a party line of people talking while they use this technology.
One of the messages I transcribed yesterday is of my neighbor who works for Portland community college saying that he wished he had gotten paid in cash for finding victims for Patti Maes to use as lab rats for her scalar holographic research instead of having her make his house payment direct using the ambient technology account. This is information that can easily be verified through an audit and should alleviate any claims of innocence or lack of knowledge on her part.
Her husband Karl Sims also participated in the holographic hypnosis that was done without my consent in my home in Feb. of this year. She was also assisted by individuals in the Portland area associated with PCC as well as several individuals who are employed with MIT in the Real Estate Dept. and were attending a symposium in Portland Oregon at the time.
I have known personally who they are for some time as they are quite arrogant and use their own names and Karl Sims even projects his own image during the hologram however I wanted proof beyond a shadow of a doubt before actually making an accusation and taking this information to the press and the FBI. I believe the fact that she made multiple payments for the procurement non consensual research victims out of her Ambient Technology Account is absolute proof. There is even a debate as to which would be the lesser of evils…do they refund part of the money they were paid by Ambient Technology because I moved or do they try to make sure any neighbor I have currently moves so I can be easily accessed by Pattie Maes and Karl Sims this week after they return from Africa.
I also find it extremely offensive that these underlings of hers pretend to be officers for the Federal Government Electronic Harassment Task Force and the Oregon State Police. In addition to that you will see that the scalar broadcasts are riddled with some of the most vial racial slurs I have ever heard. I fully intend to contact the Southern Poverty law Center on Monday morning and turn over the 34 dvds I have the conversations recorded on.
Another significant point is that immediately after the holographic hypnosis in February I sent a description of what had occurred to my friend Ret. Commander Will Miller and was surprised to hear that my experience was identical to the holographic hypnosis experienced by Dr. Steven Greer with CSETI and Author Colin Andrews who specializes in crop circles.
Dr. Greer and two of his associates all coincidentally developed cancer and his close friend and assistant died. On the recordings you can hear Martha Arredondo stating that Patti Maes told her I would be dead within 2 years from the cancer that would be caused by the scalar weapon.
There are numerous other references to deaths of individuals used in this manner including the discussion as to how easily it would be to cause an infarction with the energy. However the most disturbing to me was a conversation that occurred just a few days ago stating that Patti Maes called Arredondo and bragged of causing a teen to commit suicide by hanging.
I have only included a sampling of the conversations as I record 24/7 and you are welcome to copies of the evidence which can be validated using a digital voice signature.
I realize the extremity of my accusations and I do not make them lightly nor without absolute proof that will hold up in a court of law.
I find it hard to believe that MIT would condone such actions as to sell women to supplement the lack of available federal funding however it is mentioned so many times that I cannot over look the possibility especially since there are 3 conversations regarding the sale of women with Patti Maes and then numerous conversations between the individuals who procure her unknowing research subjects as recently as this week referencing the same issue.
On a final note in this letter which I am writing to make you aware of the gravity of this situation I am including a brief article I found online where Patti Maes references herself as a ‘download diva’ and states that she understands the awe she inspires. I do not think anything else needs to said on this issue as the article will speak for itself.
What it comes down to is that MIT employees are committing crimes against humanity surpassed only by Hitler in the name of research against American citizens funded by MIT.
