  • Awesome radio show. I just listened to Blacks and the Ethics of Scientific Research and I remember reading about Mrs. Lacks a few years ago.
    In the documentary "The Way of All Flesh" at the link above, please listen at about 9:00 mins in, where the lab assistant speaks about how Mrs. Lacks' body was left. The blatant disregard Dr. Gey had for Mrs. Lacks as a person is inexcusable. Unfortunately, there are "scientsts" who currently share this same mindset, where people are viewed as a conglomerate of cells for psychological, medical and financial advancement...caring only about results and not the person.
