YANGON, Myanmar – Myanmar democracy heroine Aung San Suu Kyi tasted freedom Saturday for the first time in 7 1/2 years, as jubilant supporters stormed the lakeside compound that was her home and prison minutes after the country's military rulers authorized her release.

After the national police chief read Suu Kyi the official order, several thousand supporters at her residence began singing the national anthem when the Nobel Peace Prize laureate poked her head over the gate.

Wearing a traditional Burmese jacket, Suu Kyi was given bouquets of flowers from admirers. She removed one and put it in her hair as the crowd clapped and cheered.

A smiling Suu Kyi spent almost 10 minutes asking throngs of chanting supporters to quiet down before speaking briefly. She asked listeners to spread her words to those standing in the back who couldn't hear.

"If we work in unity, we will achieve our goal. We have a lot of things to do," Suu Kyi told well-wishers, who quickly swelled to as many as 5,000. She said she would see them again Sunday at the headquarters of her political party.

While her release elated many, from ordinary Myanmar citizens to world leaders, some warned her struggle was far from over.

London-based rights group Amnesty International estimates more than 2,200 political prisoners remain jailed by the junta.

"While Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's release is certainly welcome, it only marks the end of an unfair sentence that was illegally extended, and is by no means a concession on the part of the authorities," said Amnesty's Secretary-General Salil Shetty.

"The fact remains that authorities should never have arrested her or the many other prisoners of conscience in Burma in the first place, locking them out of the political process."

The release of one of the world's most prominent political prisoners came a week after an election that was swept by the military's proxy political party and decried by Western nations as a sham designed to perpetuate authoritarian control.

The 65-year-old, whose latest period of detention started in May 2003, has come to symbolize the struggle for democracy in the Southeast Asian nation ruled by the military since 1962. Suu Kyi has been jailed or under house arrest for more than 15 of the last 21 years.

Supporters had been waiting most of the day near her residence and the headquarters of her party.

As her release was under way, riot police stationed in the area left the scene and a barbed-wire barricade near her residence was removed, allowing the waiting supporters to surge forward.

Mya Kyi, a 65-year-old housewife with tears rolling down her face, said she had waited anxiously since the morning after traveling 25 miles (40 kilometers) from her home north of Yangon. "Now that I have seen her face, I'm ready to die," she said.

Suu Kyi's release was immediately welcomed by world leaders.

President Barack Obama called Suu Kyi "a hero of mine" and said the United States "welcomes her long overdue release."

"Whether Aung San Suu Kyi is living in the prison of her house, or the prison of her country, does not change the fact that she, and the political opposition she represents, has been systematically silenced, incarcerated, and deprived of any opportunity to engage in political processes," Obama said in a statement.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon praised Suu Kyi upon her release. "Her dignity and courage in the face of injustice have been an inspiration to many people around the world," Ban said in a statement.

British Prime Minister David Cameron said her freedom was long overdue. "Aung San Suu Kyi is an inspiration for all of us who believe in freedom of speech, democracy and human rights," he said in a statement.

In a rare mention of the opposition leader, state television announced Saturday night that national police chief Maj. Gen. Khin Yee visited Suu Kyi at 5 p.m. to read the official release order.

Khin Yee said he was happy to see Suu Kyi in good health, and that the authorities were ready to provide any assistance she needs, the report said.

The police chief told her authorities want to maintain the rule of law, peace, stability and tranquility, and Suu Kyi replied "she feels the same way, too," it said.

Critics say the Nov. 7 elections were manipulated to give the pro-military party a sweeping victory. Results have been released piecemeal and already have given the junta-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party a majority in both houses of Parliament.

The last elections in 1990 were won overwhelmingly by Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy party, but the military refused to hand over power and instead clamped down on opponents.

Suu Kyi's release gives the junta some ammunition against critics of the election and the government's human rights record, which includes the continued detention of some 2,200 political prisoners and brutal military campaigns against ethnic minorities.

It is unlikely the ruling generals will allow Suu Kyi, who drew huge crowds of supporters during her few periods of freedom, to actively and publicly pursue her goal of bringing democracy to Myanmar, formerly known as Burma.

But some see hope in her release.

"There is no formal opposition (in Myanmar) so her release is going to represent an opportunity to re-energize and reorganize this opposition. So in that sense, of revitalizing the opposition in some concrete way, Suu Kyi's release is going to be very pivotal," said Maung Zarni, an exiled dissident and Myanmar research fellow at the London School of Economics.

Suu Kyi was convicted last year of violating the terms of her previous detention by briefly sheltering an American man who swam uninvited to her lakeside home, extending a period of continuous detention that began in 2003 after her motorcade was ambushed in northern Myanmar by a government-backed mob.

Suu Kyi has shown her mettle time and again since taking up the democracy struggle in 1988.

Having spent much of her life abroad, she returned home to take care of her ailing mother just as mass demonstrations were breaking out against 25 years of military rule. She was quickly thrust into a leadership role, mainly because she was the daughter of Aung San, who led Myanmar to independence from Britain before his assassination by political rivals.

She rode out the military's bloody suppression of street demonstrations to help found the NLD. Her defiance gained her fame and honor, most notably the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize.

Charismatic, tireless and outspoken, her popularity threatened the country's new military rulers. In 1989, she was detained on trumped-up national security charges and put under house arrest. She was not released until 1995 and has spent various periods in detention since then.

Suu Kyi's freedom had been a key demand of Western nations and groups critical of the military regime's poor human rights record. The military government, seeking to burnish its international image, had responded previously by offering to talk with her, only to later shy away from serious negotiations.

Suu Kyi — who was barred from running in this month's elections — plans to help probe allegations of voting fraud, according to Nyan Win, who is a spokesman for her party, which was officially disbanded for refusing to reregister for this year's polls.

Such action, which could embarrass the junta, poses the sort of challenge the military has reacted to in the past by detaining Suu Kyi.

Awaiting her release in neighboring Thailand was the younger of her two sons, Kim Aris, who is seeking the chance to see his mother for the first time in 10 years. Aris lives in Britain and has been repeatedly denied visas.

Her late husband, British scholar Michael Aris, raised their sons in England. Their eldest son, Alexander Aris, accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on his mother's behalf in 1991 and reportedly lives in the United States.

Michael Aris died of cancer in 1999 at age 53 after having been denied visas to see his wife for the three years before his death. Suu Kyi could have left Myanmar to see her family but decided not to, fearing the junta would not allow her back in.

Research Summary

The approach behind my research is fundamentally grounded in Neural
Engineering, utilizing large-scale computational modeling and
advanced neuroimaging to infer circuitry and circuit properties of
visual cortex. Neural engineering is an emerging interdisciplinary
field of research that uses engineering techniques to investigate the
function of and manipulate the behavior of the central or peripheral
nervous system. The field draws heavily on computational
neuroscience, experimental neuroscience, electrical engineering,
clinical neurology and signal processing, as well as encompassing
elements of robotics, computer engineering, tissue engineering,
materials science and nanotechnology.
My research has led to thedevelopment of several innovative systems under what can be termed
applied neuroscience, e.g. brain computer interfaces for image search
and computer-assisted detection systems for medical image analysis.
My philosophy, “build it, measure it, test it, understand it”, is
partly fostered by my six years of industrial R&D experience at
the Sarnoff Research Center in Princeton, NJ.

I am the director of the Laboratory for Intelligent Imaging and NeuroComputing (LIIINC).

Anchoring might starts from a really strange incident and the one mightbe aware of the incident to get sensitized to the similar situation.Here is my case from the recent incident (Nov 11, and 12).

Nov11th, I saw a man wearing a jacket with a logo below. He just showed upand passed me and walked in front of me. I thought he is a perp becausewho else wants to buy such a strange logo jacket with such a color.

Nov 12th, I went to a restaurant crowded from the people went intogether with me and some others. Around 8 people inside. When I wentout and started walking on the street, a man passed by and I saw himwearing Akihabara Japanese logo T-shirt. I live in an Arabic country andseeing Japanese logo is very rare even for a clothes. I went out forless than 15 minutes and I saw something strange. What is theprobability for the encounter like this? And notice the man behind him holding a hand of a kid. When I took out my camera, suddenly children and adults with kids showed up around him.

Two days in a row for seeing a rare logo clothes. It would surelycause a sensitization in a long run, isn't it? Does anyone knows suchpsychology?

Walked halfway to town just now and 3 mins into it (r) hip tweaked w/low level frequency... the attendant apparently didn't like being ignored and pushed the frequency up a notch including other points along the way in the mechanical system they have devised and implanted throughout my body as a parallel network working alongside my God-given organic parts - before long I was walking like a marionette. Got to town and the place was teaming with plain clothes operators who look exactly like the spooks they harbor within... Burlington, VERMONT is crawling with Federal agents standing on street corners wondering if I will recall the last time I saw one of them at my lunch spot or the time before with his kids or the time before that in a pink shirt or even the time before that driving a blue Volvo - it's all part of the game (AND USEFUL IN THE ONGOING Artificial Intelligence and "Artificial" Human R&D underway at the Stanford Research Institute). Another one of them walks the streets in a Northface vest showing off a bare ugly head he probably thinks is sexy... it's all a game to them - the ethics and morality these punks lack is mind boggling and what is equally disparaging is that these flunkies are allowed to pass on their sperm creating more of the same thing - I have seen the three kids the 1st one produced and God help them having to live under the same roof with the sick twisted freak they have for a f a t h e r.

This is an interesting and simple explanation of one man's opinion. Hope you enjoy the read. Peace.

The psychology of what is really going on.

So many people ask me to explain why everyone is so confused about the truth. I will try to explain in as simple terms as I can what has happened, psychologically, to our society.

Think of it as nothing more than a cattle ranch so as to remove the emotions behind your involvement in this problem.

The cattleman/ranch owner:
These are the governments of the world, especially American governments.
They don’t care about the cattle, they are in it for the money. If the herd gets too big, they thin the herd. If they want to sell more milk, they kill off the bulls and only let cows survive. If they want to sell meat, they pick the cow or bull that will yield the best price.

The wranglers:
These are the cops, IRS agents, school teachers, judges, FBI, etc.
They convince themselves that what they are doing is good for us and them. If they need milk, they say milking us keeps us healthy.
If they need to count us, they say branding us will help prevent us from being stolen.
If they want to control us with less effort, they will cut off our balls and tell us being docile is better for us.
If there are too many of us for the range, they will kill us off and tell us they are doing this so the rest of us won’t starve.

The slaughterhouse:
Known as courts. This is where the ranchmen and wranglers decide which cattle to milk, breed or eat. Try not to go there, but if you do go there , look like you taste bad, have sour tits, but make good calves.

The cattle:
That’s the average American who forces himself to believe the ranchmen and wranglers care about cattle. These cowards are lost and belong as part of a heard. They don’t deserve freedom because they would rather be cattle and be taken care off, regardless of the cost. They won’t fight for their freedom anymore than they would give up watching a sporting event to learn how to save their ass. When someone helps them, they claim they were entitled to the help and don’t feel obliged to share any the stored grass in one of their stomachs. They make for good steaks, lots of fat, full of chemicals, antibiotics and preservatives and are easy to be persuaded that they need to talk to the guy with the weird looking metal rod.

Free range Bulls:
That’s us crazies. No brands. Big balls still attached. Won’t give milk, even if we could. Only visit the herd to make calves. Don’t need a herd, (except see previous sentence.)
Feed on the range where we want to feed. Will shit over where the herd is because the cattle wouldn’t know the difference anyway. Think wranglers are just wimpy people that can’t make it on their own without being part of a group of idiots. Think ranchmen are just Satan’s way of separating the stupid cowardly cattle from the smart ones.
Every now and again we go over to the herd and see if we can wake up some of the sleeping cattle. Once in awhile we stumble over a couple acting like they are asleep while they make their plans to escape the herd, then we give them a map of the range. Some are smart enough to read the map, some are too dumb, too dependent on GPS. Regardless, we did our part even though we know we will be blamed by the stupid ones for not doing enough to save them.
Oh well, that’s why the ranchmen invented A-1 sauce, (or in human cases pot, crack and powder coke, heroin, and big corporations that call themselves church.)

"Sleep deprivation is a commonplace occurrence in modern culture. Every day
there seems to be twice as much work and half as much time to
complete it in. This results in either extended periods of
wakefulness or a decrease in sleep over an extended period of time.
While some people may like to believe that they can train their
bodies to not require as much sleep as they once did this belief is
false (1). Sleep is needed to regenerate certain parts of the body,
especially the brain, so that it may continue to function optimally.
After periods of extended wakefulness or reduced sleep neurons may
begin to malfunction, visibly effecting a person's behavior. Some
organs, such as muscles, are able to regenerate even when a person is
not sleeping so long as they are resting. This could involve lying
awake but relaxed within a quite environment. Even though cognitive
functions might not seem necessary in this scenario the brain,
especially the cerebral cortex, is not able to rest but rather
remains semi-alert in a state of "quiet readiness" (2).
Certain stages of sleep are needed for the regeneration of neurons
within the cerebral cortex while other stages of sleep seem to be
used for forming new memories and generating new synaptic
connections. The effects of sleep deprivation on behavior have been
tested with relation to the presence of activity in different
sections of the cerebral cortex.

One of the possible side effects of a continued lack of sleep is death. Usually this is the
result of the fact that the immune system is weakened without sleep.
The number of white blood cells within the body decreases, as does
the activity of the remaining white blood cells. The body also
decreases the amount of growth hormone produced (8). The ability of
the body to metabolize sugar declines, turning sugar into fat. One
study stated that people who sleep less than four hours per night are
three times more likely to die within the next six years (11).
Although the longest a human has remained awake was eleven days rats
that are continually deprived of sleep die within two to five weeks,
generally due to their severely weakened immune system (10), (11),

I had dinner with my church friends and I met 2 Japanese men who were staying at the church convent for 5 days since Friday. I saw their passport pictures on Friday, so it seems they came on that day.

While talking about them with my church friend, she said that they were studying at a university in Bologene(? my friend pronounced like this
not Bologna). But the group left soon after the mass. After that, I was asked by the couple of people at the church if I understand Korean. I have no idea why they ask me about that many times and the Korean mass was held while we suppose to have English one.

I saw Korean group came by a yellow rented big bus and held the mass in Korean. I had no idea why there were Koreans showing today. These people might be the same people who came and held mass few months ago. I saw a man with tick black glasses and the group was organized by a man with very little hairs - nearly bald. Most of them were women.

While eating dinner with others including these Japanese men. I learned that they made the trip while they are attending university in Italy and seeking job. Their names are Ogawa Hiroyuki (小川X之)and Ryota (亮太) whose last name is not sure. They seemed to be armature on investigation but they seemed to be asking questions about why I stay in Egypt and what I would do later and why I wanted to study Arabic and wanted to know my knowledge level about Islam. I gave them general answer about myself, and told them I don't know anything about Islam. I never learned about Islam and this country's majority is Islam but I belong to the minority part. The question about Islam was that they don't make profit from something... I don't really know because I did not understand what that is for and what Islams do at all.

What I learned from they were:

* They learned about the convent from a priest they knew.
* They are attending a University in Italy.
* Ryota spent 2 years learning Italian in Japan and 6 months studying Italian in Italy.
* Ryota might stay India in the past and possibly knew Hindi as he knows lots about Indian food and drinks.
* Both of them speaks Japanese without specific dialect.
* They seem to have more Japanese friends as they manage to speak Japanese fluently.
* In their passport pictures, they have long hairs like the length around their shoulders.
* They are non-religious. But they say they are Buddhists when they are asked about their religion.

I don't know how they decided to visit Cairo for sightseeing only 5 days while they were looking for their jobs? Also, why they decided to stay in a convent rather than cheap hotels starting from around 15$ to minimum of 5$? Perhaps they might find a national security jobs in Japan in future :)

By the way, this happened right after Japanese Embassy checked the residency status of registered Japanese in Egypt. The mail was sent on Nov 3rd, and the Japanese men showed up on Nov 5th.
