Towards a Real Time Human Brain-Computer Interface with Neurofeedback: Improving Differentiability by Blind Source Separation

Laboratory for Advanced Brain Signal Processing

Brain computer interfaces (BCI), are systems that use brain signals (electric, magnetic, metabolic) to control external devices such as computers, switches, wheelchairs, or neuroprostheses. While BCI research hopes to create new communication channels for disabled or elderly persons using their brain signals, recently efforts has been focused on developing potential applications in rehabilitation, multimedia communication and relaxation (such as immersive virtual reality control). The various BCI systems use different methods to extract the users intentions from her/his brain electrical activity. In our lab, we want to improve the performance of current BCI systems by focusing on how and when EEG brain signals can trigger consistent computer commands. We will use that insight to develop BCI technologies that function in real-time and respond to multiple-commands. Such advances would significantly augment human-computer interaction (HCI).

Since the EEG are rather weak and are substantially disturbed by on-going activity, artifacts and noise, needed to extract and discriminate useful brain patterns, we need powerful blind signal processing and machine learning algorithms.

(Lower) Typical topographic spatial patterns during imaginary hand and foot movements allow us to design optimal layout of electrodes. For three commands BCI variant, we achieved a classification rate between 84% - 92%.

In the development of a BCI we need to handle two learning systems: The machine should learn to discriminate between different complex patterns of brain activity as accurate as possible and the BCI users should learn via different neurofeedback configurations to modulate their EEG activity and self-regulate or control them.

Our BCI system has an EEG data acquisition module, signal preprocessing with online blind-source separation (BSS) to reduce artifacts and improvement signal to noise ratio, a features extraction system and an ensemble of adaptive classifiers (Fig. 1).

We are currently investigating and testing several promising EEG paradigms including: (i) measuring the brain activity over the primary motor cortex that results from imaginary limbs and tongue movements, (ii) detecting the presence of EEG periodic waveforms, called steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) elicited by a flashing light sources (e.g., LEDs or phase-reversing checkerboards), and (iii) identifying characteristic event related potentials (ERP) in EEG that follow an event noticed by the user (or his/her intention), e.g., P300 peak waveforms after a flash of a character the user focused attention on.

One approach we take, exploits temporal/spatial changes and/or spectral characteristics of SMR (sensorimotor rhythm) oscillations, or mu-rhythm (8-12 Hz), and beta rhythm (18-25 Hz). These oscillations typically decrease during movement or when preparing for movement (event related desynchronization, ERD) and increase after movement and in relaxation (event-related synchronization, ERS). ERD and ERS help identify those EEG features associated with the task of motor imagery EEG classification.

Taking a different approach, we designed a smart multiple choice table in a form of an array of small checkerboard images flickering with different frequency. When a BCI user focuses his/her attention, or gazes on a specific flickering image or a symbol, a corresponding periodic component (SSVEP) can be in EEG signals (although it is buried in large noise and is difficult to extract). By applying BSS and bank of sub-band filters, we showed that it is possible to decompose the SSVEP waveforms in a series of cortical components. Paradigm based on SSVEP remains one of the most promising and reliable communication modes for a fast BCI system that could discriminate of a high number of unique commands or symbols, so as to allow autonomous navigation computer screen cursor (or realize a virtual joystick).

Although the above paradigms are quite well known, our designs of experiments are quite original. Moreover, we developed and implemented novel and efficient, real-time signal preprocessing tools, and feature extraction algorithms. For example, we have applied adaptive spatial-temporal filtering and new nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) technique to extract features (Fig. 2) and novel ICA and sub-band filtering approach to reduce noise (Fig. 3). On going research in our lab is attempting to optimize mu-rhythm and SSVEP detection algorithms for high performance, real-time, multi commands BCI.

Another promising extension of BCI is to incorporate various neurofeedbacks to train subjects to modulate EEG brain patterns and parameters such as ERPs, ERD, SMR, P300 or slow cortical potentials (SCPs) to meet a specific criterion or to learn self-regulations skills. The subject then changes their EEG patterns in response to some feedback. Such integration of neurofeedback in BCI (Fig. 4) is an emerging technology for rehabilitation, but we believe is also a new paradigm in neuroscience that might reveal previously unknown brain activities associated with behavior or self-regulated mental states. The possibility of automated context-awareness as a new interface goes far beyond the standard BCI with simple feedback control. We hope to develop the next level of BCI system using neurofeedbacks for some selective cognitive phenomena. To do so, we need to rely increasingly on findings from other disciplines, especially, neuroscience, information technology, biomedical engineering, machine learning, and clinical rehabilitation.

After all the madness they put me in, they dont realy stop.

Well, he makes fire come down on the earth in the sight of men. But the question is, how can he do this? I'll explain as we move along.

The "BLUE BEAM PROJECT" will pretend to be the universal fulfillment of the prophecies of old; as major an event as that which took place 2000 years ago. In principle, it will make use of the sky as a holographic projection screen for space-based laser-generating satellites (star wars). These projectors will project simultaneous images to the four corners ofthe planet, in every language by region.

It deals with the religious aspect of the NEW WORLD ORDER.

Specifically, the "show" will consist of laser projections of multiple holographic images to different parts of the planet, each receiving different images according to the predominating regional religious faith. So, the image must be this merging of all these gods into one god because if you look at the next verse and see what it says, you may agree with me (if you haven't). Research it, it makes complete sense and on top of that, take a look at all the technology that exists and is being developed each day we live. Just because the bible doesn't say the electrical or electronic image of the beast, doesn't mean I'm wrong here.

Right there it says that the false prophet had power to give life unto the image of Anti-Christ. So think about this for a moment, You got a false prophet standing somewhere on the earth (lets say Jerusalem since that's where 95% or more of the end time prophecies takes place), then you have this false prophet suddenly performing miracles before the unbelievers of the earth, like making fire (light show in the sky maybe?) come down from the earth in the sight of them. Then the false prophet brings the image of Anti-Christ to those that will worship it (possible everyone's god in the sky), and the gods will speak to the world in their own language according to their religion.Then those who refuse to worship or obey this god like image will be killed or in other words beheaded as explained in Rev. 20:4 for the witness of Jesus and the Word of God. When I get these anxiety attacks (like right now), I have the usual repetitive phrases happening. I like messing with the military. Saying shit like, “is that all you got? ”Or, bring it on fucks. Every time I say something like that, the anxiety attack increases and I'll usual get a phrase saying back to me, “Oh, I'll bring it on, increase full power!” Here's an example, I'll have an anxiety attack and the phrases, so far so good, will keep repeating it self in my head. Well, then I'll say, “is that it?” Is that all you got you military douche bags?”And suddenly the anxiety attack will increase or double, and now I will have not only the, so far so good, thoughts, but also the, please make it stop, and so forth thoughts repeating themselves even more repetitively. A computer chip implanted behind the eye that could record a person’s every lifetime thought and sensation is to be developed by British scientists.

“This is the end of death,” said Dr. Chris Winter, of British Telecom’s artificial life team. He predicted that within three decades it would be possible to relive other people’s lives by playing back their experiences on a computer. “By combining this information with a record of the person’s genes, we could recreate a person physically, emotionally and spiritually.”

Dr. Winter’s team of eight scientists at BT’s Martlesham Heath Laboratories near Ipswich calls the chip the ‘Soul Catcher.’ It would be possible to imbue a new-born baby with a lifetime’s experiences by giving him or her the Soul Catcher chip of a dead person, Dr. Winter said. The proposal to digitize existence is based on a solid calculation of how much data the brain copes with over a lifetime.

Ian Pearson , BT’s official futurologist, has measured the flow of impulses from the optical nerve and nerves in the skin, tongue, ear, and nose. Over an eighty year life, we process 10 terrabytes of data, equivalent to the storage capacity of 7,142,857,142,860,000 floppy disks.

“An implanted chip would be like an aircraft’s black box and would enhance communications beyond current concepts,” he said. “For example, police would be able to use it to relive an attack, rape, or murder from the victim’s viewpoint to help catch the criminal.”

Other applications would be less useful but more frightening. “I could even play back the smells, sounds, and sights of my holiday to my friends,” Dr. Winter said.

Again this article is based on my personal experiences and observations. And electronic harassment/electronic torture can be considered the tools to enter the mind of a secret services target. They are used to drive the target out-of-his-mind, insane, resulting in suicide, collapse into a psychiatric patient, criminal behaviour, i.e. they are used to mentally or physically murder the target. General introduction to mind reading, mind control, mind rape

Mind control is a controversial subject most importantly because more desinformation has been released about mind control than with any other subject. Mind control is very real however and was performed by our national secret services yesterday and is performed by our national secret services today! 
Mind control is about the controlling the mind and can have a lot of appearances. You might be controlled by subjective propaganda in your favorite news paper, or on your favorite television channel. But you may be brainwashed by certain drugs or voices beamed into your head because some people do not like you. A lot has been written on this subject. Personal introduction to mind reading, mind control, mind rape

As most of the articles in my blog, this one also is based on my personal experience and observations. Shortly after the attacks on me started in 2000 I told a friend that they wanted to enter my head, my mind. I did not know about mind control, mind reading, electronic harassment at that time. But that is how it felt then, and I think it was a good summary of what was being done.

I managed to keep the bastards out, but it took me about three years to adjust my way of thinking. I did this by learning of the evil cowards that make up our national secret services, of their beyond imagination crimes. I could not believe things like this were done and police looking the other way. I also learned about beyond imagination mental and physical pain inflicted on me, about fear. But now I know who they are and what they are.

Only after accepting these facts I was able to develop what I call a new part of me. This new part allows me to switch on-the-fly between normal life and the life a person should not have to live. So, you can say I am not mind controlled or mind altered but that I developed a new extra piece of mind optimized to deal with the psychopaths of our secret services.

Note that I do NOT suggest that people around a secret services target all are mind controlled. They may as well (for whatever reason) be cooperating with these sick and murder a person mentally or physically. Not in a moment of rage but systematically, like turning pages in a book, we are talking about premeditated murder here. The mind of the target is forced into such a a state that he/she will do everything to get rid of this mental and/or physical torture. Gang stalking and electronic harassment are used to rape the mind of a target over and over again until the target collapses mentally or physically.. State-of-technology

By experience I know high tech equipment exists to monitor human body muscle movement, brain.

Let me give you an idea of the sensitivity of this through-wall monitoring equipment by the following examples:

• Detection of minimal breathing changes
  If you hold your breath in bed a little bit longer than normal, a sound is made somewhere in your house. This is pretty amazing but it is only a fraction of what can be done.
• Detection of closed eyes eye movement
  Now you lay completely quiet in your bed, you relax and breath normally, your eyes are closed. With your eyes closed and relaxed turn your eyeballs without moving any other body part, without changing breathing, etc. At the same time you turn your eyeballs a sound is made, e.g. a bang on the wall, someone coughing outside. This is not a coincidence, every time you try this, a reaction follows.

Of course this reacting can be classified as horrible torture, violation of all human rights, and the ones applying this kind of torture are the sick and disturbed of the planet, garbage of society.

But it is equally important to recognize the existence of such equipment and what can be done with it. The human body (including its brain) is an electromagnetic transmitter and high tech equipment is available to pick up its signals. Technology has been developed and refined the last decades. Advances in computer technology make it possible to decode these signals from the human body when reading or controlling the body and mind.

Mind reading

Mind reading may be done covert, i.e. without the target knowing about it. Some years ago a Russian military officer said that they had done mind reading on President Boris Yeltsin and had prevented him to speak about a certain subject.

If they want to torture the target they let the target know that they are reading his mind. After the attacks started in 2000 and I was being watched 24/7, my thoughts were the only thing private. Then I got feedback about what I was thinking, a truely horrible experience, all privacy gone. After recovering from this discovery I did a lot of testing, what could they read, could they see what I saw, etc. It is not everything you think of they can read. It is in fact possible to send different information, wrong information to your mind readers.

Mind reading used to torture and murder is just another example of the horrible crimes committed by your national secret services.

Because of the attacks on me I now have a lot of personal experience with mind control. Emails referring to things in your life, people walking by talking words relating to your life, people staring at you everywhere you go, phone calls when you want to leave, traffic jams to make you miss appointments, preventing you to sleep, pigeons flying over you screaming when you leave your house (even crashing into your windows or car), poisoning, coughing on tv to react, in fact an endless list of criminal activities. I am not influenced very easy by these kind of things but must add that probably every person can break if applied with methods that make you very tired, exhausted.

There have been three types of mind control based on electronic weapons I believe I have been subjected to:

• Hearing voices
  They force voices or sounds into your head. When the attack on me started in 2000 and I was on the beach, voices of people I could see but could not have heard because of the distance, came to me crystal clear. An amazing experience. Much later, something alike was done when I was in the swimming pool, with my ears under water I could hear sounds as if above water. These effects may be easy to accomplish using infrasound (there is an mp3 player for swimmers. They just vibrate your bones, your skull).
• Induced dreams
  They make you dream about certain things you normally do not dream about. Not too long ago I woke up with an exceptional memory of a dream I had. I had induced dreams some years ago and maybe their common characteristic is the level of detail you can remember from these dreams. You do not have to dig to get the full story, it is there already. Induced dreams are very common for, electronic harassment victims.
• 
• Forcing a thought into your brain
  There were occasions where a thought kept returning many times a day for a period of 1-2 weeks. But it was easy to force it away. When this happened I had to think about reports of mind control victims and thought that perhaps they were forcing some thoughts or patterns into me too.Though not 100%, I am 95% certain that it was induced like the induced dreams.

So here we have other methods used by our secret services to (illegally) control human beings. If you do not know about this technology and its capabilities than you will be confused, may be following the thought that was planted into your brain. Or you may start to believe that you are not normal thinking so much about a subject, may be a man, a woman, an event in your life. You may be forced thoughts into your brain and never knowing the difference from normal thinking. This way people can be controlled e.g. in their attitude against other people, e.g. a secret services target.

It is also possible this way to covertly set up someone to hate the royal family, to hate their government, some well-known person. I leave it to your imagination what you can do more when applied with other more conventional mind control methods like secret services agents saying certain things, creating events to influence. This certainly is a way to create enemies (and then call them terrorists) and I believe it is being done this way .

Children may be very easily controlled by beaming voices into their heads, especially small children as they have no reference to what is normal. This can be done to have the child react to an event in the life of gang stalking (organized stalking)/electronic harassment target. For example, a secret services target is thinking of person X and his sub-vocal speech is read, and then within 30 seconds the child says something about person X. If this is a pattern then the child can be assumed mind controlled and used to drive the secret services target out-of-his-mind. Another example might be to set up a child against one of the seperated partners, etc.

Mind rape

Mind reading and mind control sometimes is refered to as mind rape. The reason is that in general mind reading is not used to observe but instead to control a person in illegal ways or to inflict maximum damage (including death) to a person.

Technology and equipment have been annexated by (Western) governments and are further developed and used by military and national secret services. We are at a point in history where the scale, reach, capabilities of these devices has become such that measures must be taken to prevent misuse because that is exactly what is happening right now.

Although attacking the mind of a person is a very serious crime under current law, it is good to implement new laws specifically addressing the attack of the mind. Also methods and equipment must be developed that can be used to detect and disturb e.g. cheap detecting devices that can be used by police and citizens also to be used in a court of law, and devices to jam or scramble our own important brain frequencies (preventing scanning of the brain), etc.

Secret services are NOT good, in fact nothing is good about them. They have become depots of psychopaths, murderers, child abusers. It is against the law to perform mind reading, mind control, mind rape, on a person, it is a violation of human rights.
Still they do it because the culture has become that everything can be done what cannot be proven (and if someone tries to prove it, he or she is simply eliminated). This is not normal, it is a crime, it is sick.

We cannot rely on secret services changing by themselves, why should they. They don’t want investigations, they don’t want to go to jail. We have to disassemble them ourselves, break them apart. Jail them for the people they have murdered, for the lives of children they have destroyed.

Therefore, I contacted one of my acquaintances, Thabo Motsieola as a reporter and a renowned TV profile. I got to know him during my time with Jon Sandman Enterprises, which I had sold. He understood me and was interested in the subject. It was a great success. My mother and media  also came to mean a lot for me to get help to fight with this thing. But at first I could only say that there was something that had made my very difficult life change. It was something that had happened, I said, but could not explain more. She demanded to know, and when I told it. “When I was sedated at St. George’s Hospital in sweden, implanted  something inside my head. Then you use me in an experiment. I must fight to survive hurricanes. You know my thoughts, see what I see and feel. Everything. And you can communicate with me. Transferring different sounds and even speech directly into the brain. “It was in early 2005.

Ethics group also asks the question to what extent this technology will be misused by the military. But no matter what career plans they are responsible, it is a horror story. See threats they paint up and understand that it has gone far on the road. I was a successful self-employed with good education, an orderly life, but despite that I was a victim, how far can inplantaten give an individual or a group, special opportunities which may become a threat to society? … How far is it acceptable to people checked with the applications of other individuals who exploit this potential? … To what extent will this technology be misused by the military? What do journalists, MPs, party leaders on my case! Is it something that should continue? I’m an experiment victims who completely lost the right to my life! I must fight to survive but I am an adult and have support, can explain myself and that makes my situation hope after all. But even worse is it with children and the mentally ill as a professor Hermerén also suggests use of it here. ICT implants as through a network’s capacity can be misused in several ways for all varieties of social control and manipulation, such as for children and handicapped persons. Ethical Council also mentions, as I have said about their transfer of votes and other information that need not be perceived by the sensory receptors, but instead can is transmitted directly into the brain. It mentions it under the threat of military applications that need to be further examined. There will discuss: ‘Intrusive’ technology which bypasses normal sensory experiences. It’s the worst invasive you can experience. By disturbing the man of my brain. Creates a sounding cacophony of different tones and volumes that cuts into my head day and night. Moreover, adding to the number that can communicate with my thoughts but also has so much of other scary elements that it is not possible to describe what they claim. But when this thing once and coming in under the media scrutiny, it must come out. We can see this power as part of their own insane idea, and with it follows all perversions. EU group suggests that it also spreads out racism among people. And there is of course through direct contact in people’s brains with the ability to manipulate perceptions.They write: EGE stresses the following possibilities should be banned: ICT implants used for the creation of cyber-racism … ICT implants used for changing the identity, memory, perception, cognition and perception of others … ICT implants in order to dominate others … Implants Monitoring of individuals also threatens human dignity. They can be used by government agencies, individuals and groups to increase their power over others. This topic must come to the knowledge, into the mass media. It must be addressed in parliament and every man must know it. The network we are part of the can indicate that the abuse lasted for 60 years without any uncovered. It must obviously be a big secret buried in the fact.

The govt. officers., usually block the patents of electronic devices which will be useful to them and under many cover like 'national security' or 'it will not work' will prevent it going on the market. The trick is that the rage was previously recorded and now is re-played by the transmitting device.  (does that sound similar to the scenario that some banned people has got from the inner circle? hhhmmmmmm !  The IC is using those tools since their alliance with the Police of Pune, years before) . Brain wave scanners concealed in their modified phones pass the target brain frequency of distress to a central computer located in central India, which record it and pass it on to other agents . I talked to the voice in my head and this what I wrote down below:

While meditating, the voice inside my head communicated with me and was explaining to me that the other voices are computer generated. Sometimes I'll get a certain voice that will say a certain phrase to see if I'm lying or not, an inbetted code of some sort shot directly to my brain to see if I'm telling the truth because the mind then picks up on the code and then reacts to it. And then by reacting to it, the computer can see if I'm lying or not. (Like what they do to terrorists). The reason why I get pressure in my skull is because the computer is scanning my brain to read my thoughts. Sometimes when I get a sharp pain in my neck and a jerk in my neck, it's because there's a higher amount of radiation being shot to my brain. The voice inside my mind would not discuss the reasons why prophet Yahweh was chosen. Those things in the sky that he was summoning will not be disclosed, it is classified material. If I keep fighting with these things, I will keep losing and suffering. I decided to follow and see what the voice would have me do. The voice wanted me to destroy some of my typed word documents about mind control, but lucky I didn't recycle them.
